Deadwood
Often referred to as the place where the “Wild West” is still alive, the historic town of Deadwood, South Dakota has long been recognized as the entertainment and nightlife capital of Black Hills. The moment you ride into Deadwood, you’ll know you have arrived at a memorable and exciting destination. The Deadwood experience is a unique blend of live music and entertainment, historic influence with a wide array of high-end casinos and gaming halls, restaurants, bars and specialty shops. The Legendary Buffalo Chip and the City of Deadwood have joined forces as hosts of the first annual Legends Ride with the common goal to raise money for two worthwhile charities and the opportunity to roll out the red carpet and treat our extended rally family with a fun and memorable event that they will talk about for years to come. Not only is Deadwood considered one of the main “hot spots” for Sturgis Rally goers, it is also a fantastic travel and entertainment destination with activities and events all year round. For more information about Deadwood contact the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce at

First Western Bank
First Western Bank is "more than a bank." Founded on a culture of giving back to the 12 communities First Western serves at 18 locations throughout the Black Hills and Badlands. Wherever First Western Bank is found, you find a dedicated, caring group of people and an organization that plays a major role in the foundation and development of the community.
First Western's involvement in the region dates back to 1976, when well-known South Dakota businesspeople Paul and Donna Christen purchased controlling interest in banks in Wall and New Underwood. First Western then purchased a bank in Sturgis in 1986 and another in Belle Fourche in 1987. Banks in Custer, Edgemont and Hot Springs followed in 1988, Spearfish and Hill City in 1989 and Deadwood in 1990. Throughout the 1990's, First Western grew to become the leading financial services provider in these towns through a commitment to safety, integrity and service.
The new century brought further commitment by First Western to the Black Hills region and further expansion of the First Western family. An existing bank in Rapid City was purchased in 2001, followed by a new location on the east side of Rapid City and one in Piedmont Valley in 2002. In late 2005 a second location was opened in Spearfish and the new 53,000 square foot First Western Gateway building opened in Rapid City in early 2006 on one of the busiest street corners in South Dakota. Now, the 19th First Western Bank location is planned for the historic mining town of Lead. And, in the fall of 2007, First Western entered into a merger agreement with First Interstate BancSystem, a company operating similar "hometown" banks in the value-paralleled states of Wyoming and Montana. First Interstate is a family-owned banking organization with family-based values, operating philosophy, and commitment to community . just like First Western!
First Western Bank is ahead of its time in technology and comprehensive 21st century banking, and at the same time, we deliver old-style, hometown service. But it is not brick, mortar, money or market-share that makes First Western Bank "more than a bank." It is the dedicated, professional, personable staff; it's the belief in the people of the region; and it's the commitment to making towns and quality of life in South Dakota even better.

Content includes event and vendor listings, area maps, back road ride directions, and top ten lists for each event. By creating a tool for the biker, the maps also promote repeated use, which in turn provides a larger potential return for advertising sponsors.
