Eric Herrmann, Eric Herrmann Studios, Cave Creek AZ

Eric Herrmann has donated a print of his latest work titled “Wild Life,” for this year’s live auction at the Legends Ride. The details tell the story of this painting; a group of people out having a good time on a wide-open desert highway. This piece features a hot rod, a custom bagger, and fist pounding fun, packed with every detail that embodies a “Wild Life.” Eric will be unveiling “Wild Life” to the public at his display in Sturgis this year. He will be open from August 4th-13th, located at Cheyenne Crossing on the Deadwood side of the entrance to Spearfish Canyon. The original painting took three months to complete, and measures 36” x 48”. It is entirely hand painted using Acrylic paints on canvas. The painting available at the auction is 21” x 28” and is valued at $850. More information on “Wild Life” and other work from Eric can be found at www.ericherrmannstudios.com

Shiner Bock, Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker Guitar

Its yellow and brown color scheme makes it a collector’s item and adds to the commemoration of the 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This guitar has all the features of a high quality guitar: slim features, solid mahogany body, and compensated wraparound bridge/tailpiece. The Les Paul model has been in production since the 1950’s, and the rounded face plate is one of the most recognizable product features in the music industry. This guitar will be showcased, and available to the highest bidder, at the 4th Annual Legends Ride at this year’s Sturgis Rally.

Sly Hill Showdown, David Uhl, Uhl Studios

Approaching this year’s commemorative piece was highly influenced by my March Daytona release. As I did earlier in the year, I wanted to portray some unusual moment that may happen during the course of the Rally. In this case, I chose the depiction of a classic hot rod interacting with one of the largest growing segments of the riding community, a woman. Last year, I followed 3 of the coolest Rat Rods out to the Buffalo Chip. Intrigued with what these guys had done with their cars, I realized that they were amazingly similar to the custom bike builders I know. As an artist, I am always looking for a unique angle, so I decided to put them together, way outside the fray of the huge crowds on Main Street. They are on Sly Hill Road, just underneath the Sly Hill Sturgis sign that we all have come to know and love. I hope you enjoy this year’s commemorative piece. More information can be found at www.uhlstudios.com.

The piece is valued at $2000.00 and will be available at the 4th annual Legends Ride Live Auction.
